Doesn't that thing still leak?

 

I'm 99% sure it's a specific fitting at my pump or near the steering box.

The pump runs perfect.

No leaks at all from any hoses (where it used to leak before).

But also, I didn't rebuild the *originally* installed pump; I got a used OEM pump from the Mud forums and rebuilt that instead.

Next on maintenance are my brake lines.

 

Who’s the 63” swap guru or thread in the first Gen section. I’m looking for info on shock lengths and relocation. I’m not wanting to go through the bed. I used the search function and didn’t find what I want to know.

 

@Speedytech7 has done it on his Tacoma.

But 63 swaps are talked about a lot in the forums; think either in the Suspension or Long Travel section.

Shock lengths I expect to be determined on how you set up your rear crossmember; aren't 12-14" shock lengths generally chosen for staying under the bed?

Spectrum is the absolute worst. This is the second time they have been out and told me , “derrrrrr we can’t find the cable idk lol!”

You have to get really creative if you don't want to go thru the bed. Most common is 10" of travel. 12" is possible if you don't mind the lower shock mount to hang down a bit below the axle. Then there is Zane who hopes to use 14" travel shocks without taking up precious bed space.

I'd be alot less scared to go through the bed if it was done like JD Fab's 2nd Gen kit

 

I'm built different, and I have a bedslide. But if you had super spaced wheels putting a 14 in the wheel well is beyond simple, which is the goal for me with the sequoia axle. The 12s I can get under the bedslide and move those mounts on the axle up

I’m across the State. I’m going to dig into your shock relocate thread. I have 14’s and 63’s on my second Gen. I didn’t think they would fit under the first Gen. I’m just starting to make the game plan to see what fits and get the rest of my parts and pieces. How much up travel are you getting with the 14’s?

 

I only have 12s on there right now, you will not get 14s under the bed. You can do 14s outside the frame though if you have your wheel spacing correct or a wider axle. 12's barely fit but you have to hang your lower shock mount pretty damn low, I am about to revise mine again and put them through the bed so my lower mounts don't hang as low. I'll be using 14s when I get the Sequoia axle on and can use my wheel wells. With the 12s on there right now I have them at 4.5" uptravel loaded for camping, unloaded they're about 5.5"

 

Going through the bed isn’t an option. It’s my hunting truck for my hounds and they need the room.

 

I have a D44 from a Honda Passport 1.5 spacer and 35’s under it now.
