Someone mentioned it but I used 2x6’s and cut them to sit flush on the notches as well as the center of them to run a 2x4 for added support. I did my best to mimic the Bam Board sliders underneath as well. Not much room as another poster stated but I just sleep back there so not a huge concern for me.

 

Looks awesome. Great work. I've been thinking about doing the sliders

I like those handles. Are they headrest grab handles out bolted to the wood?

I don’t see the point of more wood underneath. It adds weight and takes up more vertical room in an already tight area.

I’ve got 3 big clear totes that slide out on their own easily.

maybe if the handles were put somewhere on the top wood it would make it easier to handle. Like if ever needing to take them off to temporarily store away.

 

wow Im a big guy and I think the metal frame will suit me better lol, but the PVC pipe plans are amazing also
