I doubt I'll get wheels unless I crack one of the stockers, but I've loved and lusted after a this bike since 2018. Loved the update in 2019, and the 2022 rework is the perfect response to all the complaints I heard in reviews.

It's time. Just gotta work the deal.

I loved the 250 Rally when it came out on looks alone, I just wanted a little more "umph". Once the 300 was available, I started looking. I wasn't even aware of the CB500X. I don't run anything on the Rally that I couldn't do on the CB, so either one would have been fine. I can't wait to see what the Transalp is like. I love the T7, but at heart I have been a Honda fanboi since my first......even though I have owned Yamaha and Suzuki(where my username comes from) too.

I'm really interested in the Transalp if it'll ever come to market. Looks like just the ADV niche I've been after.

From what I understand about it, it'd really be perfect for me. I will never out ride the Rally anymore, but my next one I would prefer a bit more road bias with the off-road looks :D

I imagine it'll be similar to the VStrom 650 with more power. More road oriented with a little dirt DNA.

If I'm honest with myself, that's all I would need/use. I'm not out riding single track anymore

Yep!! The only thing I would change is the wheels to tubeless.

It's just to make plugging and tire changing a little easier, but it's not a deal breaker by any means

I watched Adventure Daily on YT. He tried some kind of super heavy duty 7mm ones. They are supposedly good to run at 0psi. Damn things are $160 per tube

    Lucioli is the brand.

I get that it's not cheap but now that you have it it'll work on a LOT of bikes and should last a lifetime. I just finally tucked mine under the FJR seat today after washing it.

Oh, definitely no regrets after getting the wrench in hand and seeing how nice it is! Best part is it will allow me to take both front and rear wheels off on the road (hopefully not at the same time...).

    Thanks again for the recommendation!

70 in Feb? Ill take it. Got out on the bike for a bit. Don't know why people keep flashing brights at me :anonymous: probably because of my BD fogs. But its for me, not them. Oh well. Didnt take any pics, but couldn't get my Cardo to pair with the bike, so I could use Apple Car Play.. had to listen to the radio

Nice. Typical Colorado winter week here. It was sunny in the 60s Sunday, blizzarding snow and 10° today and will be in the 60s again on Sunday.

Got the tank bag in today, not really sold on it but I’m not sure what else is ideal.
I got the 2 liter magnetic Oxnard bag and with about 15 minutes of experimentation this seems to be the most secure, out of the way position without encroaching on the fuel filler.

I've been through it a few times. Never spent any real time there. What is it you're looking for? I have a couple of FJR friends out that way.

All the ocd people are cringing right now :p

Why not put it directly in the middle and move it when you get gas?

Definitely the first time in my 30+ years of riding I've ever seen this! Yes, it will encroach on the fuel cap when riding. When you need fuel you just move it out of the way until you're finished fueling up.

Yep! o_O That’s the main downside of a tank bag is you have to move it out of the way when you get fuel. The way you have it mounted would get in your way while riding.
