I'm looking all over for 6MT Sport Access Cab. No where to be found

 

Usually there is a cancelation clause of some sort, some are until you actually reach the end of regular warranty other are like 5 days. I think it depends on your state and considering Cali has a bunch of laws there definitely some sort of I changed my mind law.

 

You didn't happen to get your truck from Freeman in Santa Rosa by any chance.
I got pretty much the same truck in 2022 but they wouldn't remove the Stargard nonsense. I guess I didn't negotiate hard enough.

 

Same, I tried Freeman Toyota and they would not budge on the Starguard add-on. Hansel Toyota also pushes Starguard but the salesman (Ayman) allowed me to opt out. The truck I wanted was also inbound too, so it was not already on the lot.

I did buy it there. I don't think it was ever installed even though they said it was. My wife watched the truck while I was signing and they never went back out to it or moved it other than putting the temp plates and reg on the window. I think since it had just got off the truck Friday, they didn't get a chance to put it on. I picked it up that Sunday. They did push it quite a bit and I just kept saying I wouldn't complete the purchase with that installed.
It is just a little black box about the size of a cell phone that has a 3m type vhb sticky tape and they just stick it in some hidden location on the inside of your vehicle. It can be removed very easily. On top of that many very large dealerships automatically put them on as part of their lot inventory management system. They can reuse the boxes and assign them new vehicle profiles, if you choose not to just take it with the vehicle.
When I bought my wife's car they said they couldn't remove it. I left to use the "restroom" went out to her SUV opened the rear hatch looked around for under a minute and found it stuck in a small storage compartment. I brought it back in and they removed it from the price but we're very angry that I did what I did.

 

I bought my 2022 at the beginning of last year when supply was pretty scarce especially for MT's.
I paid MSRP plus the $1K for the stupid Stargard GPS tracking device which was thousands of $ cheaper than dealerships in the bay area.
Had an amazing summer exploring up in the sierras and high desert so worth every penny in the end. Very happy with my purchase so far.
At least I get a bit of a discount on my insurance for having active theft deterrent. Even though I never activated the service.

I knew there was a reason the finance guy had my wife sign on every single line item and detail. I'm sure that whole "Costco discount" was a serious BS marketing tool. I'm still waiting for the dealer to send me a survey . . .

I’ve definitely been in a dealer where they said yeah we do Costco pricing and they were 100% lying. not that their price was bad, but it just had nothing to do with Costco. Very few places are actually affiliated with and have Costco pricing. In order to do Costco pricing you must go through the Costco website and they direct you to the dealer. Only way.

 

The one dealer by me that did have it tacked on an extra $1100 “administrative fee” which completely negated the discount from Costco. And when I asked about it and said that I’ve never seen it before the guy got pissed and said, what do you think we made it up? I said I don’t know but nobody else in the area has it.
