I dont want to derail but the main reason the Military uses LOX vrs GOX is a space to weight ratio. I cant remember specifically off hand but 1 liter of LOX expands to something around 500 to 1000x its volume in gaseous form. To have the equivalent quantity of GOX, we'd utilize a tremendous amount of real-estate thats better used for personnel, cargo, or equipment. There is a new system that's starting to see commercial application called a Molecular Sieve Oxygen Generators that's supposed to be the next big thing. I cant speak personally about it as I haven't worked on it so if you're interested in it, check it out. If you're curious, you can check out this little pamphlet I found. I'm a current aircraft mechanic and I also hold my A&P though the military is a bit different when it comes to that regulation. LOX is one of the neatest things I've worked with, has this tropical ocean blue color when it's sitting in the pan. Sitting on a hot flight line, you put your water bottle into the liquid for about a minute or so causes the liquid to flash freeze giving you ice cold water to drink. I cannot confirm or deny if I've done that. With that said, the moment you disrespect LOX is when you have an accident. I have a few stories but I'll just leave it at that.

Powder coated brought these over. His guy was told to drill a hole near the center where the small hole is so they could hang them. He drilled a hole near the edge.

I said what is it, a funnel for something?

He laughed and said no, it’s a lampshade that’s why it can’t have the hole.

Turned the welder down pretty low and went at it. They turned out okay to be so thin. Paint will hide a lot of the imperfections.
