My fuel gauge (the needle) has been on full for a 150 miles by my calculation. The digital display has changed by maybe 10 miles. Any suggestions on what to check? Toyota dealer time? This is a low mileage 2018 with 9k miles.

    thanks in advance

Probably just a stuck float in the tank or the sending unit

i would just jump in the bed of the truck and see if you can free up the stuck float. bonus points if you take a video of you doing it.

    In conjunction with above suggestion…

What about driving on a rippled fire road for a few miles to rattle things a bit?

9K miles on a 2018 means you did not drive it much. if the tank is near empty and you don't drive it for like a couple of months the sending unit in the tank drys out and over time it will build up with crud and that will cause it to fail.
been that done that on my old 1990 Dakota.

9000 miles in 5 years is about 125 miles a month … so likely a fill up every other month… at best. Prob got some bad gas in there. Maybe some chevron Techron cleaner may help loosen the goo

Thanks for all your replies, I'll give all your suggestions a try. As for the low miles I bought the truck with the idea that i would keep it as new as possible and get it paid off before I retire. I had to drive it in the rain once and it broke my heart.
