    Not sure what all the complaining is about.

    I have a 2nd gen with a plain gas cap. No retaining strap, no clips, no holders, no magnets, no clamps, no foam-and-rinse carpet shampoo cleaning treatments.

    Filling procedure:

    - Flip open fueling door.
    - Completely remove gas cap.
    - Set the gas cap on the ledge of my lumber rack support.
    - Fuel the vehicle.
    - Replace the gas cap.
    - Close the fueling door.

    I think I win the award for "most-expensive gas-cap convenience accessory."

    Total cost for the utility cap & lumber rack + custom steel reinforcing framing inside (to protect the bedsides from bowing under weight) was about $5,500.

    Toyota says “normal” for Tacoma owners. You’re good to go. :D

    Bonus confession - one time I was distracted and left the gas door open and cap dangling on a drive home. My entire cap area was totally destroyed, paint completely gone and body dented in 1/2 inch. Totaled.

    jk. Not a scratch, not even a smudge.

    @GilbertOz

    I have OTT 8.0 with Gear Lock and my personal results (which matter most) is very thrilled with improvement over OEM tune.

    Have you seen the OTT's Dyno's?

    I mean, yeah. But I haven't seen any OTT dynos with/without the gas cap holder installed. That's what I'm after.

    @GilbertOz

    I have a STANT lockable gas cap...and prefer to put it on the gas cap holder.
