Same here.
My parents are in VA and I've been having a tough time getting JJB in CA so I asked them to stop by the store and pick me up a few.
My mom sent me this. Still $50, same as JJB.

I looked on a few secondary pages and yeah, its exactly that - Limited Edition Distiller Pick
Seems they've been popping up in VA pretty steadily, secondary market has them at $90-110ish

 

All the Bowmans got new labels this year.

The "limited edition" is just marketing hooey because it's single barrel.

 

heard it was a shit show, but they had a fair amount

welp, this is exactly how they did it last year and then it disappeared until this drop. Not hopeful

All the bottles now have that sticker label instead of being printed on the bottle, threw me off the first time I saw it too

 

10 bottles a store I heard. Most interesting was non-premium stores getting it in.

 

Came across a few bottles yesterday but didn’t buy any.

Little Book (forgot the which batch) - - $179?? I think
Bookers 2022 (forgot batch as well) - $129 I think.
George T Stagg - lol…..I’ll never buy this seeing a $1000 list

I’ve had Bookers before, but it’s been some time. The Little Book intrigued me, but I don’t recall having a malt whiskey before, so will need to research that and see if I can find something that I could try on this.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Little Book?

 

Generally not worth the price IMO.

Freddie Noe's true good work this year was with the Hardin's Creek whiskies.

They have versions of Blantons we can't get here. Black, Red and these:

 

Also, if she sees Yamazaki 18 grab it. Very hard to find here, and when you do it's at insane prices (+/- $1000).
