man you guys sure run through the thread when i take a hiatus.

Had to stop riding the S1KRR this week, rear tire has threads showing in one spot. Worst day I could have found out too because it was raining that day lol. Bike is now retired until next week when my new chain and sprocket kit comes in, then will cautiously ride it to my shop about 10 miles away to install all items. Itching to get back on it already.

CycleGear has their President's Day event, going to order a new rear tire from them in case I can't get the current one patched up.

Hopefully I can escape without spending money on anything else!

First batch of titanium hardware for the Tuono arrived along with the lightweight rear rotor. Starting with f/r rotor and caliper bolts. Caliper bolts are drilled for safety wire because racebike. Next batch will be sprocket nuts for the new wheels/sprocket, pinch bolts for forks and top yolk, and rearset hardware. If I can put a wrench on it, it’ll eventually be titanium.

The Ti versions are about 50% lighter than the OEM. I'll be keeping a log because I'm crazy. So far rear rotor bolts are 5.12g vs the stock at 10.75g each. That's about 28g which I know to be 1 OZ. :spy:

I'm fully aware that the return would be higher if I just took a fat dump before going on a ride, but I have a certain vision for this build.

I bought another Metzeler Roadtec Z6 rear tire on close out for $103 with tax and free mount/balance. I got $15 off since it was over $100.

I saw Cardos were on sale but I already have one and I didn’t want to buy boots or anything, though if you do spend $225 it’s $50 off which is a pretty good deal.

Had a bit of a ride to get to the dealership for a recall, about 120 miles total. It would have been a good time except it was very windy. I hate riding in the wind.

I am not a fan of internal visors. They're kind of heavy and I think don't meet Snell certifications (though I would argue ECE is a better rating system).

Also, regarding Cycle Gear, I found some jeans that were on sale (Bull-It Icon II) so I called customer service to get them to cancel the tire order so I could order the jeans and tire at once to hit the $50 rebate threshold. The person on the other end just credited $35 to my CG account (since I already got $15 off the tire) and I bought the jeans + hip/knee armor for $117.

So much for not spending more money at CG. :)

Between maintenance, registration, some house projects and tools this has been a very expensive month.
