What if instead I have an intense drive to learn because of the impressive yearly wage?

Okay well I'm just upfront about it :p We always had the kids in class that said the dumb shit that teachers want to hear like "I'm here because I'm interested in becoming a better person", no bitch you aren't, we are goal motivated apes. You're here so you can get a job to make money, you do that because it's compulsory, money is a requirement. I don't work because I like work, I work so I can enjoy the 4.5hrs I'm not at work doing something else. My only goal is to raise the amount of funding so I can work less haha.

Thats fair, since society makes money a necessity, i totally get everything your saying. Im a weird one tho, I actually enjoy work.

If I magically had more money than I knew what to do with, I would invest most of it into a version of what I have now with Wolverine. Only WAY more automation so I can keep it a one man show lol

If you like you're job then that's a cool bonus. I don't dislike my job, I dislike the pay, and if given the freedom of not having to worry about money I would choose not to work.

I'd definitely choose to not work

if I stumbled into a giant sun of money tomorrow, I'd still finish my degree though

That actually says a lot. I'd say that 70% of what we look for is drive/initiative with 30% experience. Most of what I do can be taught, but the drive to want to work is something that has to exist.

I'm the same way. I absolutely love what I do because it involves extreme problem solving in a fast paced environment. As I posted a handful of pages back, these data center clients are throwing millions/billions of dollars into these projects and there is intense pressure to perform. One day of delay equates to $100k-$500k in liquidated damages.

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd still show up to work everyday because I thoroughly enjoy the challenge. I don't think that I ever could/would retire out of fear that I'd be bored.

Thanks. Probably because I'm a card holding electron wrangler myself. Seriously though, if you have a background in electrical/mechanical and specifically controls/integration, I might be able to get you in the door. Most people have zero controls/integration experience and view BMS as "Black Magic Shit" (actually building management system). There is a huge demand for it in the industry. Don't hesitate to reach out with your resume if you are interested in this line of work.

Shit, I feel like if you know what SCADA stands for, you're half way there...

320k mile 2002 listed as "looking for roughly 15,000 or best offer" with grainy pictures on Marketplace. The truck is show with dealer plates, so I head to othe dealer site looking for better pictures. Dealer site has it listed at $8900?

I can't think of the actual acronym but I was introduced to its concept in my intro to mechatronics classes during my first attempt at a degree... Supervising Cascading Androids' Data Acquisition

Close. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. When we have problems with it, it gets the nickname "Sucks Cocks and Dicks Also".
