They are nice when riding in changing conditions a lot. I like to have a clear visor and a flip down sun visor is easier than a sunglasses a lot of the time.

I like my internal sun visor, my helmet is much too tight to wear my Oakley sunglasses in, I barely can wear my thin frame prescription glasses with the in ear monitors I have and the helmet.

    I just prefer transition visors.

I ended up going with this Evo Trail tank bag. It's a little big but I'm trying to stay away from having a tail bag. We'll see how it looks and sits on the tank this weekend.

    I love SW Motech.

I took my big Triumph tank bag off and use one of the SWM micro bags with the locking ring now. Much better in the summer for airflow. Thinking about getting one of their big bags for touring.

Sounds like fun, but I keep my 2-wheeling to the paved roads.

Never mastered (or even picked up novice level) dirt skills.

    Thank you for the invite!

I used one similar to that for a while on my 07 FJR1300 and had the electrified mounting ring. It is a nice set up and for most riders will be great. I had issues with the powered tank ring not making perfect contact and during a long distance rally my GPS died as a result. Sold that and went to a magnetic mount bag and powered it with my battery tender lead.

Really making my itch for a proper touring bike worse. I love my Tiger 660, but likely going to move to a 900 as a next bike.

There are electrified tank bags? That is awesome, never heard of such a thing.

I use an old Cortech tank bag I bought off Facebook Marketplace for $20.

On the topic of tank bags, what are you folks putting in them?

Food, water, sunglasses, hand sanitizer (for when I inevitably get gas on my hands while filling up). On longer trips I'll put my phone and battery bank in it as well, along with all my charging cords and adapters for my smaller devices (phone, gps, etc).

Wallet, phone, keys, watch if I was wearing one, insurance, registration, water bottle, snacks, sunglasses, gloves after riding, lens wipe for visor. A bunch of random shit in other words.

The 900s are nice. The new 1200s feel almost as light and balanced as the 900s.

I like the 660s, too, and need to go to a lighter bike at some point, but I'd look like a bear on a tricycle with anything much smaller.

660 is a great commuter bike and sporty companion to the taco (which is why I didn't go for an ADV bike in the end) but after riding on my buddy's 900 Rally, I realize how much comfier it is and would be for bigger trips.
