2wd owners, what have you done with this space?

Is there anything you guys have added to this empty space?

Nothing yet on mine. Just got the truck in in July. I feel like that would be a perfect place for a phone mount.

 

ive a phone mount on my other side. has some double-sided tape under the edges because my phone has pulled that body plug free. but i also use a Mob Armor mount which isn't super light. but built like a tank.

 

I put a voltmeter in there

 

my older toyota truck i had dual 3.0A usb and a voltmeter, was great. now my nephew owns it and get compliments often fom his friends about that.

 

On my 2006 I installed my magnetic phone mount there. Replaced the cig lighter with a dual USB port connected to my radio for Apple CarPlay.

 

I need to buy this piece since I won't have the Toyota XCase anymore. Anyone selling or want to trade for my 4wD?

I assume it will fit in that location (never had that panel off). Anyone know of a good spot to get switched power from that's easy to get to from under that vent?

 

I just ran power directly from the battery, and had a small kill switch, but was nice to have a constant power available if needed

Mic clip holder that is NOT attached with double sided tape. 'Cause that stuff don't work in South Texas or when I'm in AZ.

 

Phone mount works perfectly there.

 

I wish I had though to put a usb adapter there. Could have gone with a really short cable since I have an Offroam corner vent mount for my phone just above there. Instead I have a 1.5 ft. cord down to a usb-c adapter plugged into the lighter location. Not bad at all but would be nice to have a 6 inch cable there instead.
