Hot Wheels

Nice little haul today. I've been looking 4 the red 4runner.

 

I'm still looking for that 4run...i see the eagle has landed also. I have the white version of the jeep. Looks like another color variation. I'll hunt some this weekend.

 

I walked into the Acme Click grocery store early this morning and they had just restocked the displays with Hot Wheels and set up 2 blue stand alone's by the registers. There was already a vulture / vendor ripping into the stand alone's so I went in back to the other displays which he hadn't gotten to yet. I grabbed 3 of the Volvo Gassers, a lime green RX7 and 2 of the Jeep full size 88 Cherokees. When I went back to the stand alone's the jerk ripped through every bin and never put them back like the way they were set up. He picked them clean of the good stuff. He stuck them back in their spaces stacked on top of each other. I wonder why these stores even carry Hot Wheels because everywhere you go all of our stores look like that or they leave them in piles on the lower shelves. This is 50–60-year-old guys doing this not 5–6-year-olds. At least I scored a few today.

Wow this cant be real. I walked into Weird Mart yesterday to a fresh display of everything. There was even a vulture picking the the shelves but he was a nice vulture and let me take a 55 Nomad Mean Machine Gasser and a lime green Matchbox 71 Ranchero when he saw that was all I wanted. I had to ask though when I saw there wasn't anymore on the shelf and he gave them to me from his cart. He had a couple of each. I guess there is still some hope in this world. 2 scores in 1 weekend instead of 2 scores a year.

 

At a hot wheels show this morning. Might have to spend some money today. Lot of nice stuff here.

Don’t collect wagons but I bought this because I thought it was cool looking.

 

Was a good show today. Miss the race track but I did win this neat little car for a door prize.

 

I don't think I moved but I am confused as to why all of the sudden I am finding things on the shelves at stores in my area. I picked up 3 more I was looking for at Weird Mart again yesterday.
I grabbed a couple more Volvo P1800 Gassers to tear down and repaint for my next builds and also snapped up a Matchbox 4 Runner. Im starting to feel like Kilo Charlie.

 

I begged wife to trade in her 2021 4runner for the herritage. No luck.

 

Most shelves pretty bare or at least I already had most of the ones hanging so I passed. Here is what I was able to grab that interest me. I was happy to get the Nissan truck and trailer (chopper) combo and the red jeep which matches my white one. Still looking for that red 4Runner though.

 

Speaking of @Kilo Charlie do you still live at the same address?

 

Nice win! He makes a lot of the same stuff, but the detail is excellent. I think he has like 7 different colors of this car. I have 3 of them, White, Green and a mint type of color.
