Favorite Whiskey?

I'd drink them, I doubt those have potential for being super valuable based on some googles. They ain't getting any younger and bourbon is meant to be enjoyed.

 

I wonder if its even safe/ good to drink

as long as it is sealed whiskey has an infinite shelf life.

 

They both have a seal on them so i guess they are fine

 

I purchased a 6 pack of this sweet Tennessee whisky. Is this the older bottle with a cork or latest screw cap?

It is. Sealed whiskey is a pretty controlled environment, and there's too much alcohol in it for microbes to grow, and not much to speak of for them to feed on even if they could.

I mean, what is one of the most common disinfectants in the world?

Jimmy Russell of Wild Turkey has an open bottle of bourbon in his office that was distilled and bottled before prohibition. That would make it over 100 years old at this point. It's fine. He still nips from it on very rare occasion per his own report.

I haven’t posted here in awhile, but picked up a new one for the snow trip this weekend

 

I’ve passed on this one a couple times because I couldn’t find any solid reviews. How’d you like it?

 

I have a bottle of that….can’t remember if I liked it or not

 

Initial impression. It’s good, very good actually. For the price though, don’t think I’d buy again. Just priced way too high for what it is. I even snagged for $80.99 which is well below what they list it on their site.

NAS on the Reflection. They do make a 13 yr, 13.5 yr, and 14 yr. After trying this one, I’d bet any of those 3 are phenomenal.

Yeah I recall them being $100 or so when I came across them recently. I’ll never see those older ones.

 

I’m back on the Larceny barrel proof really smooth for 124. $70 a bottle in CO. Can’t go wrong.

 

I'm visiting the blended scotch section tonight. First stop- Compass Box Great King Street Artist Blend. What a mouthful (to say).

 

I’ve been eyeing the artist blend. Everything I’ve had from Compass Box I’ve like, I’m sure that one would be no different

Has been fun the last few months visiting the various liquor stops in town. On my way out of town for the weekend, stopped by a shop I haven’t been to in over 20 years and found this. Thought I’d give it a try. I like it, but I don’t think I’d buy again at the price I paid.



Also found Bookers at $93….that’s probably as low as I’ll find it. May go back and buy a bottle…maybe.
