@leueddie and @Stick to your guns, what’s in season? I passed several fishers the other day and I’m too lazy to look it up.

 

You probably wouldn’t be able to look it up without contacting your Attorney and having them call the 1-800# to find out what secret section of river, clip or not clipped and special rules is open or not for Steelhead.

 

I, for one, am not used to so many regs when it comes to hunting or fishing. I swear every I try to look through them I get even more confused… The Midwest was easy, do you want a tag for antlers or no antlers? Do you want to fish or not? The prices for tags are fairly exclusive out here too. One day I may finally try my hand with some Black Tail or Muleys, but that’ll be after I find an attorney who knows the 1-800#

 

Rivers rules are an extra special convoluted fuckery to follow. Just because it says one thing in the book it’s your responsibility to find out what’s happening day to day.

 

No clue about iphones, but Android has an app called Fish Washington that is super convenient. Click on a body of water and it tells you what is in season

I worked in a fishing shop for 8 years and it’s still pretty tough to find answers lol. Right now the only thing really open is winter steelhead. You can only keep hatchery steelhead in Washington and rivers open and close pretty often.

Deer is almost as messy, black tail GMUs are mostly any antlered or any deer. Muleys are typically 3 point min or antlerless, whitetail are any deer. But each gmu is different. Definitely helps to know someone to get started around here

Does anyone here know of someone that knows anything about Toyota Diesels? I have a friend that has a 1992 toyota surf with a rebuilt 2L-TE. Has new injectors, rebuilt injection pump, swapped, ECU all new sensors.

The problem it is having is cold hard start runs like shit dumps fuel once it warms up and cleans up a lot but not perfect.

He Lives in Colorado but was asking if i knew of anyone around Washington that might know what's up

its not a diesel conversion. its a stock diesel Surf, but ill pass it along.

also, their website says they only deal with domestic

 

Could try calling the folks at Javan Imports out of Portland. They import these things all the time and have a maintenance team.

 

Why was the ECU swapped? Was it to address this same issue or did the fueling issues start after.

 

not sure. gave you all the info i was given. but i am pretty sure its been the same issue since he had the engine rebuilt. wasnt running when he got it. dont remember if blown head gasket and/or cracked head.

 

The problem as describes sounds like an ECU issue is why I asked. At least on a gasser Tacoma, the ECU manages fueling with the help of various components, the IAC for start up and idle, and the MAF for fuel trims.

 

Looking for recommendations on getting an Archive shock relocation kit installed. I’ve read enough of the Archive threads to have a false sense of confidence about setting it up myself, but even then I couldn’t weld to save my life.
