Hi all this is Kris here, 2021 TRD sports 3” lifted with rough country vertex coil over. I wonder why in rear Axle Passenger Side wheel is slightly outside then driver side, I can see approximately 3-5mm poking on right rear wheel. Can anyone advise me how to bring it in and make even with the other one? Thanks

Been discussed multiple time, seen to be normal. Most have notice it the bed/ box that is miss- aligned. 3-5 mm is nothing compared to what others have had.

Serious question. Is the bed crooked? Very commonon and easy to adjust.

If not, verify the axles are centered correctly on the axle pads.

Dealer will not likely assist here since it's been modified.

Yeah Toyota won’t do anything since it is modified. Bed looks straight too. I have attached two pictures of both wheels and see the difference. Thank you guys for your thoughts and advice.

The myth of “Toyota quality” has definitely been lifted after reading this forum “after” I put down my deposit on a vehicle. I should have read this forum prior to the deposit. Would have saved myself some time getting my deposit back.

The fact is that every manufacturer has their issues and they all build bad ones from time to time, just some build more junk than others.

Measure the distance on each side from the front of the bed to the rear of the cab. If the same distance then measure to see if the bed extends left or right of the cab. If all measurements are the same then it's the rear axle that isn't centered.

Could have been misaligned during the installation of the rear lift.

    Someone has to say it.
You're obsessing about something that DOES NOT MATTER.
Drive and enjoy your truck, take it off road, go to the mall, and worry about things that are important.

its not uncommon to see cars with one side being out by a little bit. i noticed it when i put 1 inch spacers and noticed my passnger side wheels stick out about .25in farther. had to get a .75 spacer to equal it all out. dont be so neurotic, its impossible for cars to have extremly perfect measurements unless youre paying big dollars.

Check your rear tire wear ...u joints at rear ... most probably is the bed ... algine holes straighten and fill with foam to hold the long bolt in place... spray bolt with wd40 so it don't stick to bolt when tightening

I loosened bolts and was able to improve alignment measurements all around. Not too bad overall, good enough. I think beds are sometimes off center with other brands also. I’ve noticed boxes off here and there when walking through parking lots since I first noticed mine. Most people are not as picky as I am and will probably never notice.

One other thing I was noticing that the gaps between tires and mud flaps are not equal in the rear axle. I did measure one day and found 1/2 inch difference, I guess where that tire sticking out space between tire and mud flap was 3” and 3.5” to other. I installed my lift kit a year ago and when I was running running with stock wheels I couldn’t notice and didn’t pay attention cause they sits inside the fender but when I switched to 4Runner TRD pro wheels then I noticed cause you all know these wheels has some offset and looks awesome. I recently asked a guy who installed the lift kit he said oh yeah it’s gonna come little bit out one side. Should I go and let them realign the block installation if the problem is still there after checking bed alignment? But I want fix myself cause every time someone will do the job in my truck they will make another mess not having well skilled people here in Lexington KY. Thank you all.
