As far as I know, there is no direct or significant connection between a third-generation Toyota Tacoma's automatic transmission and the number 58.

The third-generation Tacoma is a mid-size pickup truck model produced by Toyota, first introduced in 2015 as a 2016 model year vehicle. It is available with two transmission options: a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. The automatic transmission used in the Tacoma is a conventional torque-converter type, manufactured by Aisin AW.

The number 58 is a positive integer that has a variety of uses and meanings in different contexts, such as in mathematics, science, sports, and culture. However, I am not aware of any particular association between the number 58 and the Tacoma's automatic transmission, or any specific significance or symbolism of the number in relation to the vehicle.

While I love all your answers, they are wrong.
The answer and it is kinda strange:
In ECT mode, it will only shift from 4th to 5th at 58+ mph.
Not 55, nor 56, not even 57, it will only shift at 58+ mph. It sorta mimics a manual, or at least how I drive a manual. It's funny but ECT is real close to driving a manual. For fun, I have been driving in ECT only for the past thousand miles or so. Just thought it funny.

    Ah.

In Hebrew gematria “sport mode” converts to 469. If we take the first two numbers and add them together we get 10. What is half of ten? You guessed it, 5. Now the 9. An automatic has 1 shifter that is also shaped like a 1. So if we subtract 1 from the 9, we get 8.

Then what do we get if we put those together. 58!!:hattip:

I tried looking and found a neat feature.

Tacoma won't shift full throttle into 5th gear until 140mph and 6th gear until 200mph.

I was on the right path?!
