Likely yes, some rare occasions the shift forks don't jive meaning internal issues

ok so here is where im at, im impatient and didnt desire to crawl in the snow and pull off my skids.
So i decided to unplug the 4x4 plug behind the glovebox, because i didnt here the click yesterday.
    That cleared the Blinky
    Blinky..
Drove it around it locked in and out of 4hi with ease..
I have a feeling is not over

I also now have a 0453 code (canister?)
Which i cleared with the ultra gauge i dontrecall it being there yesterday.

What do you think all this means?
Thanks again for your help B

That I’m not sure. I did my swap back in September of 2018. The buying/shipping process went smooth for me.

I've never seen or gone down the diagnostic path for a P0453. That sensor is a part of the canister, unless there is an open/short in the wiring to the canister you're looking at likely a canister replacement. Clear and see if it returns.

I'd also recommend disconnecting the battery before unplugging the 4x4 computer. There is small potential for powering the 4x4 motors and placing them in a locked position (out of switch range).

Oh, wimp! Hopefully if it happens again it is warm and dry for diagnosis. Does your skid plates block all access to the drive shaft? Got some of those new fancy cat guards?

Ill probably investigate a little more once the pavement is drier, make sure there is no water intrusion, breather lines are good.

Ughh on the battery, guess i dodged a bullet.
Have any idea on why that may have worked?

All cleared and ill just ride it out

Do you guys have an alignment machine at your new place?

We have an alignment machine. It gets the job done, I feel I was more accurate at Groove though. If you make an appointment make sure to request me at the time you set the appointment.

I fucking love Colorado. Not that other places don't build people like this. But we seem to have more then our share. Once you look past the obvious law enforcement issues. This truck is truly near perfect. I see almost everything I would need to rebuild America post apocalypse.

I've witnessed this beaut in the exact same parking lot before. Believe it or not, there's more shit on it now than when I last saw.

I'll do gear installs on occasion. Found I was chasing dollar signs too much and letting life slip away. Had to pull back. Pretty much will not touch them in the Summer when the kids are off school. Actually pretty much stopped as of last year when my computer went down. Didn't internet for almost a whole year other than searches on the work computer. Kinda limited my reach no getting online. Found people were also having issues getting parts, most suppliers only kept stock on hand for internal installs.

While I was away I traded the 4runner away. It now lives up in northern CO. I'm shifting back to my mini truck roots.
