I know your post is old, but how much lift did this give you? Also what offset are those wheels? Good looking truck!

When I can get mine I want to do to notch 4 a on double cab v6. So for the rear would AAL or a one inch block be best? I don't always cary a lot of weight but will tow a small camper sometimes.

So here are my results i drove the truck all day and it finally set at 38 1/4 front and 39 1/5 rear, i put bilstein 5100 at 4th setting on stock springs and rear tuffcountry aal 1.5, so overall it gave me 2 1/4 on front at 1.55 setting on my 4cyl access cab so more then what is supposed to be and 2.5 on the rear. The truck rides great better then stock and indrove it on some very bumpy roads here in springtime its almost trail like everywhere in quebec

Dumb question but the rear 5100's are good up to what height of lift? 1.5? don't want to slap on a leaf pack or AAL that messes with amount of down travel I've got left. Also anyone know where to snag a set of 4 5100's these days for reasonable? just gonna start with leveling front I believe. Or a small block temporarily till I get an AAL.

Post #415 and #416 shows the users I believe using the standard length 5100. I myself am also looking for confirmation or updated info/reviews on this. My installer is telling me the standard length is ok even with a medium pack OME that can lift 2” ??

I did the headstrong aal plus overload and rear 5100s.

I used a bumper jack to install the leaf springs and after having the springs bolted to the axle and frame, and having the axle at full droop/drop, the standard 5100s were definitely not long enough. I had to put the weight of the truck back on the axle before I could install the shocks. Had to depress the shock maybe 1.5-2 inches to get it in the bracket.

It doesn’t bottom out in normal driving but who knows once I get it out wheeling. Most travel due to wheeling (rock crawling at least) in the rear is up in my experience.

Thread revival. I just installed 5100's on my 2023 yesterday. OEM coils at 4th notch up front. Headstrong Progressive 3ALL in the rear with OL removed and the 5100's limit my down travel about 3/4". Gotta wait till Monday to put truck on floor because I have the ECGS puller coming in to pull the OEM bearing and replace with the ECGS bushing.

I paid $440 shipped for mine. Check my thread for where I purchased them(I don't recall). But I saw them for just under $400 right after I purchased them. I can try to find it later if you'd like.

    Found it. $390 shipped.
    https://www.stage3motorsports.com/1620tcmashk-16-22-tacoma-bilstein-b8-5100-leveling-kit.html

I used a Headstrong Progressive AAL in the rear for around $200 that provides about 1-1/8" in the rear(bad mat, Lomax bed cover and tool bag add about 135lbs to bed). I like a little rake and set front to 1.55" to try to retain a little bit of rake.... wish it had a little more rake.... was hoping for a full 1.5" in the rear. Factory coils.

I am curious if anyone has tried running Bilstein 5100’s with the stock springs and the Westcott Designs preload collar for the 5100’s that they now make. I am considering getting 5100’s, but keep seeing that running OME 888’s leads to sagging and that OME 886’s are not recommended to run on the 5100’s. I am trying to get to 3” of lift up front and the Westcott Designs preload collar claims to do that with the 5100’s.

I installed 5100s all around with HeadStrong AAL and kept the stock springs. Even after installing the shell it's performing well. Driveway is sloped, truck is actually quite level.

Your welcome. That's a bargain price. Honestly, $440 from Hotshot Offroad is still a good price compared to most vendors.
