its a spikes lower w stag parts kit, and an all stag upper..... shot about 200 rounds through it the other day. Had a few fail to battery/feed, and I was thinking, "wtf, this thing is a fucking POS", tried 3 different magazines, took the bolt out and inspected it, blah blah blah blah blah. Nothing. when I was cleaning up brass after the shoot, I noticed there was an ugly ass, chewed up 7.62 round amongst the salvage. Guess what my problem was...

    Beautiful, Blended!

Hieu, how was the recoil and accuracy of the 9 vs the 45? I bet it was a huge improvement. Just the fact that you ran through 500 tells me something.

Guess we need a gun meet, huh?

    It's an XDM.

The AR deal is a whole new ball game. Lowers are a funny business, especially because there are about 6 manufacturers who make them for all 7 million companies that sell them. I've run stag, spikes, palmetto state, and lmt lowers. Personally, I like them all. Stag is a really solid company, and all their parts are mil-spec, so you're getting a better grade of crap. Everybody is on spikes tactical's nuts these days for a reason. You can score a pretty cool looking spikes lower for about 120. a stag lower parts kit will cost you 60 bucks. buffer tube and stock, (mil spec), will be another 60.

Uppers are much different. If you get a crap upper, you get a crap gun. My "end of the world gun", is a larue upper with JP bolt/carrier, and noveske barrel. the combo will cost you about a grand and a half, but god damn guaranteed to outshoot anything on the planet, and it is 100% life dependable. I've got a BCM upper, too, which I love. the BCM upper, with BCG will run you about 650, which is a good price, to top notch quality. Although bravo doesn't yet have the reputation as some of the most premier ar builders, they are fast developing. They have a demo gun which has over 30k full auto rounds through it without a cleaning, and its still running strong.

If you're price conscious and want the best possible quality, I'd go with a bravo upper, spikes/stag lower, and a stag lower parts kit. You'll be out the door for about 900, and you'll have a badass gun you can plink with, or count your life on. let me know if I can help with other shit

Actually I busted my ankle and then was able to get a handicap plaquard good for 6 months. I was only on crutches for about a month... :) I can walk perfectly fine now. My laziness will stop in a couple weeks though when my pass expires...

I usually get it at my local shop but they've been out for a while. I buy a lot of ammo at midwayusa.com and cabelas.com too.

gunbroker is a good spot for ammo, too. they've got vendors with pretty cheap stuff. Shipping usually isn't too bad. just be careful, alot of people will list something as "speer gold dot", when in fact it is a reload using factory speer cases and speer bullets. You may run into liability issues if you're using it as defense ammo.
