I will keep this in mind when I decide to thin the herd :D

Those came in the 1st Tacomas right? I will keep this in mind if I ever decide to jump down that rabbit hole, I appreciate the information!
Well damn man, sorry to hear this, but sounds like you dodged a bullet at the same time. Maybe someone on a Chevy forum would be able to recommend shops that specialize in LS swaps. Might also be able to go to a few local car shows and talk to folks that have LS swaps and see if they could recommend someone. That might give you a good starting point.

Oh My God what a Gentleman‼️

Well come to find out it’s most likely a scam! All the videos, photos and reviews that were posted are now gone. The place now has no reviews and the photos posted are nothing but a $h!t hole or back yard red neck mechanic working in a dusty dirt yard with no shade tree.
Must have had friends post fake reviews or made up email addresses to create fake reviews. It’s not even listed as a business. @BassAckwards it’s worst then the fake name I created “School of Hard Knocks” to sometimes get discounts on parts. My business was installing suspension and coil overs on Miata’s on the side with a $750 spring compressor mounted on the wall in our garage. Hahaha. So I’m guessing I lost the $2,500 I sent to start buying materials. But I’m telling him I have a cash job waiting after my recovery from my 3rd shoulder replacement surgery scheduled for valentines day. Then I will be able to afford the work once I start working PT for cash. I’m asking him to give me 4 to 6 months. The shoulder surgery on Valentine’s Day is for REAL!
How’s that country & western song go? If it wasn’t for bad luck I have no luck…
    Can you say Dumb ASS⁉️
Anyone know how hard it is to change your screen name from Hayrider to Dumb ASS?

@Hayrider, have the other people that have done the LS swap been forced to make custom headers, or are there bolt up options that they'd found? That would save a lot of money.

I used some s10 swap style ones, they needed a little modification but not much.

Here's a bit of info, looks like GM used the same aisin core for a few vehicles.

I purchased headers that @tacotunner06 turned me on to. Hopefully the fit once I find someone to install the engine. Right now I’m getting the authorities to try to prosecute scammer at JC Motor Worx in El Centro Cali.

    Sir,
Thanks for the link as the headers are good quality sadly not equal length but the “Collector Merge Spikes” inside the collector is a nice touch.

yeah short of some serious money headers there’s no way to fit equal length ones in that spot.

@Hayrider, you don't neeeeed equal length. Plenty of cars around the globe come without equal length headers. Close enough can be more than good enough.

Yes sir I fully understand that now remember I said “sadly not equal length…” it would just be nice or wishful thinking!

I was thinking about driving up to LS Fest in Las Vegas this April 28th-30th and pasting on the windows “Can You LS Swap Me?” and parking near the competitors gate. Then stand there to see if I can find someone. I sent an email to the organizer to see if this is Ok or if I can do something like this.

    Thanks your thoughts?

Do you and your followers have ideas for rear aftermarket bumpers that don't totally break the bank? I don't offroad so don't need anything crazy, but the cheap stock replacement from Amazon is rusting bad and I'd rather spend the money on aftermarket than true OEM.

John, hope all is well down your way sir:thumbsup:

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just get some decals and put them across the windshield Ricky Bobby style. Surely someone there can assist
Here's one that's sold on ebay and is relatively affordable for an aftermarket replacement. I had a buddy near me with one of these on his truck. Definitely not the best weld quality, but it did appear quite a bit stronger than the stocker. Probably wouldnt hold up to the salt well though..

Doesn't look like they sell it on Canadian eBay - I checked their website as well but I could only find the one with LEDs built in - that's a little bit poser for me. I'll probably just get a stock (oem knock off) replacement and see how that goes - or maybe get my buddy to wrap the current one once I polish it up a bit.

Rolled over 310k miles today and drove the truck on the highway for the first time since swapping back to 4.10 gears. I will say that you have to do the 4-5 dance more often now since I’m in the hill country, but it drives great on flat ground and will even hold 5th going up some grades too, it just starts building 1-2lbs of boost. You can still cruise in vacuum on flat ground in 5th at 75mph but once you get into the grades, it wants 4th gear or starts building boost pretty easily.

I will say i am surprised with how well it drives considering it has 34” tires. Based on some of the calculators online, it is the effective gear ratio is somewhere around 3.69 taking into account the larger tires. Also I finally had my cracked windshield replaced today. I should have done that a long time ago. That feels like a huge upgrade:D

Ahh the clarity. Now your truck is ready for some boosty high speed dune runs. :D Maybe not, but still sounds cool.
