Same here. I worry about anything that'll shorten the life of my stator. I have nothing drawing extra power, and I'm already on my third battery in 6 years. Still original stator, though.

2 steps forward, confirmed that the wired OBD2 setup will work with the tablet/dongle/torque pro.

And figured out how to connect my Cardo to a second device so I can have both the tablet and iPhone connected to Bluetooth.
“Hey siri” commands and music work same as before the tablet/CarPlay.

If I connected the Cardo to the iPhone only then “hey siri” worked but everything I would give a command such as “call mom” or “play music” the audio output would default to the tablet. And if I connected just the tablet via Bluetooth Siri didn’t work, pressing the voice assistant button on the headset would prompt bixby, and I couldn’t control my music by any method except the screen.

I’m starting to second guess my decision to go wired OBD vs wireless, I think I could use the wifi side and not Bluetooth as the wifi on the tablet isn’t being utilized by anything when on the bike. When I ordered the wired connection I was thinking that my phone connected to the tablet via wifi and not the box attached to the tablet.

I would dearly love a Speed Triple RS, but there's no way I could comfortable ride one all day.

I still think the best-sounding motorcycle I ever heard (or rode) was an 06 Speed Triple 1050 with the stubby Arrow exhaust. Awesome.

3 batteries in 6 years? That's really poor battery life in my opinion. Do you use a battery tender when not riding for lengths of time? Is there some parasitic draw going on to kill your battery so soon? A lot of modern bikes have a clock built into the speedo or somewhere on the instrument cluster. Folks don't give something like that much thought but that little clock is drawing power 24/7. Did you add or wire something so it's constantly hot and drawing power? A lot of folks do stuff like that not thinking about the long term.

The longest I go between rides is about a week. The D675 is my daily commuter. There is a clock, but I have nothing else hooked in to the battery. As much as I like Triumphs, they are about as high-maintenance as any other British machine. There are things I've learned to deal with, owning this beauty.

How long of a ride? People often don't realize just how long it takes to recharge a battery. I worked for a Harley dealership for several years and even I was surprised to find out how long it took to replace the power it took to start the bike. On Harleys even in the early 2000's it could take more than 20-25 miles to replenish what was taken out starting it in colder weather or after sitting a while. That's continuous riding, not stop and start.

The battery tender junior works well at maintaining your battery when the bike is parked. I have 2 tenders shared between 3 bikes but my FJR rarely sits for a full week.

Saw that video a while back and it made me want to build a mini-truck flatbed. There’s an old-timer in my area that has a first gen Tacoma with a home built flatbed. Nothing special, just a really clean well taken care of truck that he uses for work. Stock suspension and original paint that he keeps washed and waxed. He won’t sell…

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
I’ve actually being seeing more of these show up in my area to ride The Tail of The Dragon in TN.

Managed to talk up a couple of nice older folks who let me give it a once over, it’s now on my want list once my 3rd daughter turns 18.
