Actually......most practical friend......once you do the conversion, there is no turning back and if you get something that is prone to rust in a year and a half, you will be going through shock after shock....so technically I am saving you money :D

I dont know it for a fact, I asked it elsewhere and thats what someone said but I doubt they actually tried it. I really would like to avoid uniballs there if i could.

I don't see why they wouldn't. That rubber bushing will flex, and the axle angles are not that extreme, with an otherwise stock-ish rear suspension.

That's just 1. I did find them a little cheaper but these are overkill for most. Fully adjustable and full aluminum for the rust belt.

I'm still looking, not sure how much adjustment I need..

So the shock has to be uniball because of the orientation of the tabs?

Turin says uniball not necessary. My icon rxt and hammer hangers say I'm stock-ish.

You are still stock-ish as well. Chevy 63 ambitions may say otherwise for uniball but these would still work:D

Yeah that's what I'm thinking ahead to :anonymous:, I'd like to think 14" 5125s are plenty for my use case but if I need a different kind of joint for those angles I wanna start considering that now

Mine aren't adjustable. Survived so far.

Exactly what I'm getting at... for the cost of the adjustable ones I could get 2 pairs valved differently. I'm not sold either way on any of them yet.

I do like them and they check a lot of boxes but going to read and see as much as I can before I pull the trigger.

Unless you go to a different spring geometry the difference in axle movement between a 12" and a 14" shock isn't much. To put it another way: you can't get 14" of travel out of any pack I know of that will fit the stock taco hangers. However, a 14" shock will also never be the limiting factor in your suspension travel, so you don't need to worry about your expensive new shocks being the "limit strap" if you get really flexy with an aftermarket leaf pack.

What leaf pack are you planning to run with the 5125s?

Some guys swear by adjustable shocks, I've never played with them. I am set up to re-valve shocks though, so mine were all custom tuned.

@fatfurious2 where did you get your shocks from? I seem to recall you sending them off for professional re-valving for free?

I got my shocks from Downsouth Motorsports. You can tell them the kind of valving that youd like to have them set up before shipping.

Also recently found @AShive92 near you, can revalve shocks without having to ship to California (which for me took about 3 weeks)
