I was behind a large truck when a dirt clod the size of a football came off. I had thought it impacted my skid plate, but nope:

The fog light housing (pictured) is already busted from part of a blown tire hitting me on the freeway. I pushed it back together, but it's still loose. I'm done with this fragile front bumper setup.

I don't need a giant, under bite steel bumper with a winch, new lights, and 30 attachment points. What are some options for BASIC, but metal front bumpers? I'm doing some looking around, but so many are just complete overkill for me. I want simple, but robust.

    Suggestions?

Addictive desert designs has 3 options for the Tacoma. 2 of them are not what your looking for but the third is very minimalist. Tube style bumper with their superior craftsmanship and quality. Give them a look see.

Green lane off-road make awesome aluminum products. This stump bumper is only 45 pounds and is very robust.

If I had thought to replace it before this incident, the Green Lane models would have been great. However, the rest of the colored bumper and fog light area are busted, too, not just that black bottom/center portion that their bumpers would replace. I'd like one to replace the entire thing now.

Hopefully the company who owns the truck pays for all damages and replacement costs!

Zero chance of that. I had no idea it even did any damage, so I have no plate #, company name, nothing. This is on me.

Don’t know on the Westin…10 gauge steel is only 9/64 thick.
