    Painting the calipers will have ZERO effect on the brakes. The calipers are only there to hold the pads. The heat you are talking about is generated by the friction caused when the pads are pressed against the rotor. That heat is then dissapated throughout the holes and groves in the rotor.

    Unless your doing braking at already illegal Nascar high speeds. You'll never have to worry about heat transfer being an issue in regular driving. Just don't cake an 1/8th of an inch worth of paint on and you'll be fine.
