I just like to be able to run my tires through the year, not have to legally take them off if studded

 

In VT they are legal year round
not unusual in July hear a vehicle going thur the parking lot with studded tires on
if your winter tires are worn and not going to be useful the next winter lots of people will run them thru the summer and get new winter tires in the fall
saves a season on the summer tires

 

Here in Maine the studded tires have to come off by April I think it is? Might be March.

same with NH. I hear that specific tire sound thru the whole summer. Seems like every other CRV and station wagon just leaves em on

Don’t think I’m driving the Tacoma today- just performing minor surgery on it, and going to the auto show.

Just my bi-monthly checking in...

 

Oh, it’s really very minor.
1” x1/4” exposed metal on the top right rear of the cab was rusting over. Steel wooled to remove rust, sanded, primed with pen. If/when I succeed in sanding the primer without re-exposing the metal, I’ll hit it with the 3k4 pen, some 2000 grit, and a touch of clear.
The dent is still there (was like that when I bought it!) I’m just putting the kabosh on the body cancer.
