It was only $60 so I figured what the hell I'll try it. I installed it this weekend and I can say it does work. You can set how quick or slow the throttle response is. Set it to race mode and you can't not bark the tires on take off! It's a cool toy, not a must have unless you hate the slight OEM delay when you press the gas. One thing that I will be interested to see is if I use it to lower the throttle response if it will help in the rain when running Tru-Trac in the back.

Besides *maybe* slighter better internal pcb components these units are all the same (relatively speaking). A little repackaging and some marketing and next thing you know your paying another $100 on top what you spent. Glad you found one for a good price, thanks for sharing!

The seller I bought from isn't listing any for Tacoma's, but any of the 9 mode units should be the same

The only thing about this or the pedal commander and/or 99% of the rest of them to them that concerns me is That if power is lost for some reason you have a completely dead pedal. I want something that defaults back to stock if the It fails.

Couldn't you just unplug this from the pedal and plug the pedal back into the factory harness? I think you'd still have a pedal issue at that point because they get their power from the factory connector.

I have the (Amazon) 9drive version, it has a stock setting, and or just unplug it should it malfunction, only complaint is even on the lowest setting I think its almost too much, truck is much much more responsive. any higher and in my opinion gas pedal is too touchy

I turn mine off because I don't necessarily need the extra pop. Actually need to have a steadier, slower response for crawling

Then that's what you should use when offroading
