We’ll obviously. Weird cause half this thread guys saying 275 no issue and even some running 285.

I hear ya, man…same with sole people saying they run 33” without a CMC and don’t rub while some, me included do rub, even with a CMC and UCAs with caster around 4 degrees.

I rubbed on every tire size on every thread that said it would fit with no modifications. Take this off, trim this, heat that. 265’s, 275’s, and 295’s. Maybe I was just doing something wrong:anonymous:

I have lifted a few, my 19 I had cheap 5100's on the top clip with stock coils and a block, ran 17.x9 -12 offset 4.5 bs without any rubbing on 285 nitto RGs, ran 285/70r17 and similar setup on my 2015 and only slight rubbing at compression on cab mount. I'm just trying to get some sort of idea before I go investing in tires as this is a new setup and wheel for me but seems to be common amongst a few here.

Same, CMC done and caster around 4 degrees also down below 60% tread. When reversing near full lock on the front plastic area, which i did mod to help clear but still rubs. I know for sure ill rub even more when i get new tires and when deflating down some.

Dang, trying to figure out if I should just stick with 265/70r17s or 275/70r17. Think 285s are out of question at this point.

Just plan on it rubbing. If it doesn’t consider yourself lucky.

I'm still baffled, here is my 2019 sitting on 17x9 -12 offset and 2'' 5100 setting, no rubbing on pavement, even exit and entry on driveways.

No thats my old truck, I'm about to put the fox 2.5 setup with accutune UCAs, and Volk TE37xt 17 -10 on my 2022.

It was stock UCAs on 5100s. Thats why I'm perplexed by all the people here being like it for sure even rub on 265s.

265s, agreed, thats the edge and should not have much or anything to do at all(cmc, heating, cutting, etc.)..275+ is the rabbit hole.

Well I ordered 275/70r17s after surfing that tire size thread and feel confident I can get it to work based on people there with similar setups. We shall see. 265 is just too small looking.

Just choose the tire size that makes you happy and do what it takes to make it fit. Trimming, re-shaping, CMC, CMR….not really a big deal if you end up with what you want.

True, was just trying to avoid CMC, but I've done it before on my 2015.

The 17’s you pull the outer lip in by 4mm compared to the 8” -20 offset

FWIW, here's my '23 with 17x8.5 -10, wrapped with 275s. After mounting, only direction it didn't rub was going straight. Now it's on 5100s F/R to level. Still had some minimal rub, but heated the rear fender liner a bit. Now it's only rubbing when reversing, at full turn. Alignment is next, and hoping to eliminate all the rubbing with the caster pushed up.
