Still don't understand why you need the adapter. Light bulbs are consumables, your truck is 100% stock. Keep the original H11 bulbs in your truck as spares(I did), both types of bulbs fit the factory harness. There is nothing to do with a lease or even a rental.

I previously asked @caribe makaira and @crashnburn80 about that and they both said it will not make a difference in the 3rd Gen Tacoma.

I was told originally needed to modify the harness by removing a green tab in it. Didn't want to do that.

Nope, there is nothing to be modified either the harness or the headlight housing, just the bulb. I sure didn't do any of that on mine.

I am just understanding this. I have led in my halogen housing. I'll have to take a look tonight. We had a long and rainy season and my stock halogens at night/wet were worthless so i purchased some Amazon lights. At night when it rains now I see perfectly. I'll have to confirm the spread when i get home tonight to make sure I am not blinding other oncoming drivers. I am probably not going to do a total swap out to the led housing yet. Anyone recommend the brightest halogen headlights available? Having said that all new cars now with HID and LEDs are blinding in low beam. I guess that's the norm now.

The Philips H9 is the best halogen if you don't mind swapping to an H9. There are some other H11 recommendations at the end of post #2 in the headlight megathread below if you want direct plug n play.
