Where Have You Off-Roaded Today? 3rd Gen

Drove to the top of Mary’s Peak, highest elevation on the Oregon Coast Range. Returned on what was a Forest Service road on the map, but proved to be not much more than a cat trail in places.

 

Today was a magnificent day at Hungry Valley. Absolutely no one there, but a fella and his gal that got stuck in a Jeep Rubicon in the practice area in some sand. Always fun helping folk out.

Finally! I went for some Wild Peaks and the SRcinco feels and looks like a truck now. It was hard pulling the trigger as the last time I got Grapplers and they lasted like 20,000 miles!

 

Btw, if you haven’t been there in a while, the rains did a number on that place!!!! So many places to wheel in some ruts and such.

 

Btw, this little fella acts like Big Red. For someone with stock tire sizes, it works incredibly well.

Hungry Valley two days later. The rains have done a number the more I investigate. Some fresh snow has fallen, and has not melted in places.

 

The Middle Wall is intimidating. But the “work truck” done it. Great place to wheel for walls and sand. Hungry Valley.

Always a fun place! I was there last summer and heading back again this summer. Do you have/need a permit?

 

Pawnee grasslands. Kids driving MT and of course some rifle time. Too bad the wind was a stead 30 to 40

 

Visited there last spring. It was beautiful. I really enjoyed the stop.

Oh god, enough of the snow and mud photos! . How about wildflowers in the desert near the Colorado River?

 

No permit needed. there are certain areas where you are allowed to drive and not able to drive. it's posted where this allowed. the speed limit is 25MPH and unfortunately people go over it and do hurt or kill others while doing the burn outs and cookies.
