I see the light but you have to look to see any logo. Anyway, not a game changer for me. Not like wearing a NORTHFACE sweatshirt or anything.

Me and a friend installed a 6112/5160 kit today. About 3.5 hours.

Installed. So much bass now that I had to turn it down to the minimum and you can still feel them. Night and day different. Highly recommended if anyone is on the fence. Not cheap but well worth it.

What does a sand pitted windshield look like? I'm asking because when I clean my windshield to the point it is crystal clear, which sadly isn't very often, and the sun light hits it directly, it looks like a billion little specks covering the complete windshield. It is so uniform that I just always took it as the way the glass was manufactured. In less than the ideal aforementioned scenario, the specks are undetectable. Living in NC, how could this be sand pitting unless it happened in transit.

Nope. The 4runner frame is fully boxed and the Taco has a boxed frame in the front and turns into a C channel frame in the rear.

Just wow! Your journey is fascinating and I bet a little nerve racking at times. I went to your website and starting looking and now have it bookmarked to follow along. Best wishes for you two and your safety.

Exactly how you described it. A billion little specs pitted all over the glass. It's not really noticeable until then sun hits it directly then it's obvious. There's so much blowing dust and dirt in AZ from the drought and all the construction and the wind carries it. Then when you drive down the road or freeway it all smashes up against the glass. (sand blasted)

I'm also considering the 6112/5160 kit. How much lift did you end up going with in the front?

If it been there since day one, is this something I could get replaced under warranty? I mean how could I prove it didn't happen after i took possession, unless I got an affidavit.

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
Don’t sweat the windshield. Mine came with a crack on the inside (smuggled in from Mexico). It’s a “replaceable product” gonna need to be replaced when some asshole without mud flaps sends a rock through it… sorry, still recovering from a Bro-Dozer doing that to my Highlander.
