"96 taco" back up lights not always working

    guess I will get my lazy butt under the truck and look around the tranny---the switch is not working all the time or not---any suggestions?

    Yes the fuse is working---the lights don't stay on when in reverse---they blink on for a second then go out

    bunch of crap
    i bet its a bad switch. I've replaced a few of them. easy test.... disconnect the connector and jump the two wires. this will send power straight to the lights. if they stay on... u need a switch:D
