same old same, just settling in at work.

Me and the wife planned our first "family" camping trip this weekend. We are taking our 2 boys ( 6 and 2) for 3 nights 4 day to Tallulah state park in Georgia. I'm a little ashamed to say this will be both of the boys first ever real camping trip.

Lol still off today but we are back at the house. I took today off to decompress from the trip.

lol, Smart move. I did the same when we did the 7 day for our honey moon. Then the next week I left on a Wednesday to go ride dirt bikes at Durham town with my boss and plant manager lol.

 

I think me and @baldridge stayed there. It was a great trip. One of the first ones with the trailer.

Lol good times. Tomorrow gonna be a bitch but at least short week. Dreading going through all my VM and emails when I get back.

 

It looks like a super nice place. If this goes smoothly and the kids love camping as much as me and the wife do. I'm going to start building a RTT trailer.

 

I thought I had a lead on a service bed the other day for $100(guy just wanted it out of his yard). It ended up being for a long bed I've got quite a few people keeping an eye out for me.

WARMING TREND CONTINUES: Get ready for a very nice preview of spring this week as we experience the warmest weather so far in 2023. Look for highs in the 70s today and tomorrow… we will be close to 80 Wednesday, followed by low 80s Thursday.

Today will be dry with mid and high level clouds around… then we will bring in a chance of scattered showers over the northern half of the state tonight and tomorrow. Much of the day Wednesday will be dry and breezy, followed by another chance of scattered showers Wednesday night into Thursday. There could be a rumble of thunder this week, but no severe storms are expected, and most of South Alabama will stay dry as they are close to the strong upper high over the Gulf of Mexico.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: Friday will be a bit cooler, with highs in the 58-68 degree range. A few spotty showers can’t be ruled out over the northern counties Friday as the surface front stalls out.

Then, over the weekend, showers will be possible across the northern half of Alabama with a mostly cloudy; highs will be generally in the 70s. For now we aren’t expecting the rain to be especially widespread or heavy.

ON THIS DATE IN 1912: A strong area of low pressure produced snow in Amarillo and high winds to Austin, Texas. In the warm sector of the low, severe storms developed and produced an estimated F3 tornado in Shreveport, Louisiana. The tornado killed nine people and injured 50 others. The tornado passed near Centenary College, where windows were damaged, and the grandstand at the ballpark was partially damaged.

ON THIS DATE IN 1939: A possible F2 tornado moved northeast at “New Harmony” near Cragford (Clay County). A man was killed in his in-laws home. 9 others in the home were injured.

Thanks guys, looking forward to a change in scenery. I grew up in TX/FL so the humidity will be like catching up with an old friend. Moving for work, it’s gonna be nice being closer to the gulf coast and hitting trails in the forest vice the desert!
