So, you never solved your cut out problem? The ImportDirect sensor I have is still a suspect.

What ignition coils are you using?

I think they are OE - never been replaced. Toyota/Denso

Maybe slap some new MSD ignition coils onto it

Coils are plug wires are relatively new. Less than 50K on them. They are OEM.

    Ah, no.

    OME and worth every penny.
I hear you, it is a concern. I bought mine with a dirty MAF and it was similar.

I'm waiting on the Toyota/Denso parts I ordered from Rock auto yesterday. Plugs, wires/boots, coil packs and a Denso crank sensor. I will clean the MAF today.
See if that makes a difference. If not, then I will change one thing at a time, so I will know who the culprit is. Hopefully, one, or all of these things in combination will fix this.
    Thanks

For anyone interested: I cleaned the MAF and throttle body today. It may run a little better, but cutout problem is still there. Waiting on other parts to install.

Mines a '98. Before I had to store it for a year or so, I had no problem hitting 6+. But once I pulled it outta storage, it has the same issue. I've tried a new crankshaft position sensor. No love there. I've cleaned my MAF. Again, no love. Any help would be soooo helpful.
