Who got rich trading in my absence?
Looks like 228 pages since I last post, probably won't try to catch up there, but I see some of the same names are posting, always a good sign, trading aside. At least you're alive and kickin'. Lost 3 people I know since the last time I checked in, one was the worst, friggin' ex-gf's 29 yo son. Od',on phentynal. Granted I hadn't talked to her in forever, but I remember the kid from when he was little. Smart as a whip. He really was.
I don't understand it...

I've seen the ads on CNBC, I haven't dug into it. Have you owned it for awhile?
Usually I just blow these things off, it's like why do they need to run ads? Purely to get people to buy the stock. Especially with a niche product like that. The company's products/services should sell themselves to the industry. It would be more impressive if only a select few had heard of it. Advertising on CNBC, imo humble opinion at least, is a red flag. Without looking, I'm gonna guess it's overpriced on a fundamental basis.
I'll take a look this week.

 

Hmm...I didn't even know they were running ads..LOL..yeah I always hated seeing crowdstrike ads...

I was watching $RVSN on low volume (low 5 figure volume..) spike over 7 figure volume...so on something like that I'll pick up 500-1000 shares and set a price trigger to let me know "Hey, you're up 40%" so I can sell half and then hold and see what happens or get all out if the return far exceeds what I would ever expect/not a stock I'm interested in being trapped long on..

It’s not OD. It’s poisoning. There was a local story from a few towns over. Skuzzy coke dealer was leaving a trail of bodies. 4 guys all stopped breathing. 3 died. The one that survived led them to the dealer. Cops did a buy. When they tested the stuff it was coke/benzo/fentanyl. They were following bodies and luckily found the dealer.

 

Oh it’s all up 30%. Now I’m only down 60%

 

Charles Payne posted a thing about living in 1985 on $440/week or present day $1200 a week and breaking down that the 1985 had it better vs cost of living inflation..
So I was wondering if JUST for the year 1985 you bought $5 worth of $aapl a week...what does that look like today?
Well $AAPL was trading $0.07-0.10 for the year...so avg 70 shares a week...3500 for the year..
Split adjusted? 224:1 or 784,000 shares...annnnnd that's $180K+ in dividends a year and $120,000,000 in stock...
SOoo...
Ask me why I detest buying $5 worth of baseball cards a week in 1985 with my paper route money...
