Does anyone have torque specs for Hammer Hangers handy? My rear end is clunking going into and out of my driveway pretty substantially. Had a local shop install the HH, and they paint marked everything (nothing seems to have moved). Been on about 5k so I figure it's a good idea to check everything over.

U-bolts are a common cause of clunks, leaf pack slipping on spring perch, ~90lb-ft

    HH frame bolts 80 lb-ft
    HH shackle/leaf eye bolts 89 lb-ft

What leaf springs do you have? Some low quality companies supply narrower than stock bushings and sleeves so you can't properly torque front spring eye bolts

Thanks as always for quick reply!

Pack is Icon rxt at option 1.

Haven’t had any noise in 5k miles since install and just started to notice it last weekend.

This is really tempting, though id have to also trim my Ironman leaf packs to not eat I to the shackle.

Aussie leaf interference has nothing to do with Hammer Hangers, so you should trim regardless

I did see that post of yours in this thread from about a year ago (or two?) showing what the leafs can do to the oem shackles. I’ll have to take a look if there’s been any contact so far. Thanks for the suggestion, clarification. Even though I read that post and saw the pictures, I didn’t really think about checking.

Got mine installed today, took me about 2hrs to do the install but had to wait 3hrs for the ups driver to finally show after I removed the factory hangers for my steel-it delivery.

I knew they were going to do something, but holy crap…I wasn't expecting the rear to feel like a completely different truck! 8F5910B2-3D7D-4762-953E-62B6374DED94.jpgADD080E4-C5AE-4688-86CB-5F8DFE817B2B.jpg

@ARCHIVE So have not read through the entire thread but I’m currently running stock leafs with king 2.5 extended travel W/ reservoirs. You mention these will help with droop travel even with stock leafs? I know the stock leafs will be the limiting factor here but anything is better than nothing right… also with this set up you think I’ll still need to run extended break lines?

You won't gain much droop with stock springs, should help you use all of your shock if you're not currently. But you'll improve your ride, handling and durability significantly

Hey, so I'd like to get input from you guys on what would be good suspension packages to add to our site for 2005-2023 Tacoma offering.

I'd like to do a tow pig package with: HH, cross tube (optional), our new Traveler AAL and maybe Ubolt flip.

Thoughts on that or any other package deal?

I think that the package that you just mentioned is a prefect package deal for towing. The HH's give a stiffer and more planted feel, the AAL gives more weight capacity without going full weight carrying all of the time, and the Ubolt flip + bump stops help seal the deal regarding the extra weight.

I mean the aal, cross tubes, and hh is a great bundle for what I do which is DD, race, rally, and tow my cars. I would like to invest in some rear bump stops so maybe add that?

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
I think you should also have something like a "stock correction kit" that would maybe include the hangers, cross tube, ubolt flip and bump kit... for those that don't plan to tow or offroad, but want the truck to ride properly.

Then to second what Brian said... have an "offroading kit" that would in essence be a full bundle of your products...

I agree that bump stops should be part of the package. Also, why drop all the money on HH and the kit only to use an AAL? That should really be a replacement leaf pack given the issues with the factory leaf springs.

True, but I was envisioning as a prep kit for towing to a stock Tacoma.

I think the stock springs are fine for ride quality once they are hooked to Hammer Hangers, just light spring rate and don't pull more than 10" trvel.
