I have seen a couple of those Bronco Raptors down here in RI the past couple weeks. For pricing, I saw a number of them go through Mecum auction, and those were getting >$150k (some around $200k!?).
Some people are just nuts!

 

Feel your pain. Plumbing, gloves off bring it bitch. Guy who taught me plumbing, replace everything, assume nothing, follow the 7 p's. Anything better than miserable is a win.

 

Short wheel base MT base trim they can be had for about 35k MSRP I think.

Whether you can get one of those or not is another topic.

 

Lol I’m all set on that one. Bronco raptor or a 20% down payment on a 400k house….

 

My cousin has a raptor bronco. It's pretty sick. I think itd still prefer a trd pro 4runner to it just from use case and price differential but it's awesome. He's eager to get it on a trail but preferably without pinstripes. So Taunton trail is out lol

 

Anywhere in the Northeast is out at that point hahaha

Come on now, there are still some lovely dirt roads and plenty of curbs around to hop off of.

 

Roof and doors come off. >400hp TT V6. Way different than a 4 runner. Don't get me wrong I am looking at a bronco eventually as a maybe but a base trim - not the raptor

Around here they don't make sense too. Out in the desert where big wide and powerful makes sense they're a blast. Same with the f150 raptors, and even the ranger raptor.

Maybe up in the north Maine woods they can open up but otherwise I don't know any trail that you can get >10mph before there's a tree or a rock or a turn in the northeast

 

I want an everglades, it's the 4cylinder but factory snorkel and winch. Snorkel does increase fording depth

 

That's the one I'd go for, too. Best all-around out-of-the-box package before going to Braptor.

 

Expect the next 4runner and tacoma to have good power from some sort of hybrid. All I know is if the 4runner becomes rated to tow 7k or more with decent power and payload that is most likely what my wife will get next

 

Agency6 is sending a replacement, no charge, no questions. Had a nice chat w/ their rep. Cool as fuck. Absolutely worth the cost for this kind of customer service.
