California won't let you install an older engine in a newer vehicle, so a pre-1998 engine in a 2001 Jeep is no-go...

Yeah I think I’ve heard that. But 2001 gives you plenty of years to choose a diesel engine from.

 

Someone put Off-Road wheels on it.

 

This 2006 Taco wasn't in particularly horrible condition, but it definitely needed a paint job...

 

And the frame was obviously original, and this truck is obviously well past the recall period...
