Fantastic! This weekend isn’t good for me, maybe next weekend I can fly my balloon out there. It’s getting a lot more risky up there.

I don’t think anyone has ever argued the point that it is far quicker to refuel a normal ICE vehicle. That is one of the huge advantageous they still have.

Rivian software engineers just can’t seem to get the tow mode range calculations to work right. The truck has had two updates since I bought it and both have had problems with this. The first update was wildly off, showing 635 miles of range in tow mode with a fully charged battery and remaining totally inaccurate by a huge margin. The update from last week is better but still easily double the actual range available. The actual energy use screen shows the correct mi/kWh so I don’t know why they can’t get the range estimate to work at least close to right.

Today it said I had 108 miles at 50%, I towed my usual 7000lb trailer 12 miles and it said I had 103 miles at 39%. Actual range based on actual energy used was 49 miles remaining.

    That was spectacular, LOLOLOL.

You mean advantages? @stevesnj apparently they cannot spell either.

And maybe a carbon monoxide alarm as well.

It happens. I noticed it later but was too lazy to go back and edit it.

Nobody who does this can afford an EV. Unless of course it’s a tenured professor who works 3 hr a week racking in 300k

Doesn’t take $300k/year salary to own an EV…

Rivians are 2x the cost of a Taco. Guess no-one earning less than $150k can afford a Tacoma.

When do I see this extra money deposited in my account? I feel I am being cheated out of my rightful earnings as a Rivian owner.

You could probably apply for back pay from the time of your original preorder too.

You can get a Tacoma for 30-5 used. The cheapest way to get into a rivian is 6 figures essentially. Unless you were the lucky few early adopters

I always thought 6 figures meant $100k. What do you think it means?
