Help Finding Front Bed Rail Part

Okay, this is a bit of an odd ball request. I have noticed over the years that some of the late model (2012-15) second gens, came with an extra alumium trim rail on top of the front bed rail. Not the track system…but an extra hunk of aluminum square stock that adds to the overall height of the front bed rail so that it is closer in height to the side bed rails and their plastic covers. Most 3rd gens 2016+ come with this from the factory now but I dont think their part would work on a second gen because the bed rail heights front vs sides is not as drastic on a second gen.

so i want to find that second gen specific front rail riser piece, i could try a third gen one but i dont think it will work.

The reason I am looking for this part is to try to make my tonneau cover seal better

I once saw one that is fitted by loosening the bolts that hold in the front rail system, slipping it down in behind the rail track and sandwiching it in there when the bolts are tightened. Thats what I want, I know it has to exist

 

I found the 3rd gen 2016+ part but again, i’m not sure if it will work: 65409-04010

Reviving an older thread - is anyone able to confirm that part number (6540904010) fits and makes the front of the bed level with the sides? Have a lead on one locally but want to confirm it fits and works before contacting the seller.

No way is a piece of aluminum square stock with powdercoat worth $400

 

If it were me I'd make that part out of steel for about $30 in materials and 20min time. $400 is just crazy.
