You know the drill! FML! I’m really spoiled actually compared to others and only have a 30 minute commute to the office opposite of rush hour. But for the love of god. It’s still painful AF.

Dude, you have no freakin' clue what you're talking about. For starters, only an idiot would buy one of these trucks to be canyon a carver; when I want to do that I'll borrow my son's GR86.

Now to your poorly informed assertion your bare bones Tacoma will leave my TRD Sport in the dust on curvy roads, dude, think again. Yes, a DCSB weights about 12% more and has 75% more horse power and 47% more torque than a bare bones 2.7 liter ACLB, then there is the suspension and the rubber, bare bones models have skinny tires with taller side walls and floppy suspensions; like it or don't, believe it or not, ain't no way your truck runs away from a TRD Sport on curvy roads, and trust me, up here in New Hampshire, we have plenty.

The post I was responding to didn't give any qualifications regarding the road.

It was my post and the qualification was implied, but sure, I'm a road trip guy too.

And I know that I can gain or lose 4 hours on a 30 hour drive from the length of my lunch breaks alone. Side note, the further north of 65 mph you go, the smaller the range between gas stations. Surprisingly smaller. And sometimes on a multi day run, by the third fill you start looking for a hotel. Just saying, sometimes the time savings isn't as big as it looks on paper, and sometimes all you get is an extra hour of watching star trek reruns on a shitty 32."

This reminds me of the time a guy with a 2WD 5 lug 4 banger Tacoma said he could out wheel, out haul and out tow my V6 4x4 TRDOR 7 days of the week.

His truck was a 2nd Gen 5 lug landscaper truck. I’m assuming my payload would be better but I don’t honestly know.

Watching the starry eyed, steering wheel gorilla griping, tailgating frantic drivers I often think, if they'd only leave 5-10 minutes earlier they too could enjoy life... and get decent mileage !

Or have a driver fly past and then, pull immediately in front of you and being so close the cruise kicks off...

Seems to me quite a few SR owners are adding some "TRD flair" to their rigs. LED headlights, turn signal mirrors, etc, etc.

Yeah, word on the street is the “TRD” sticker alone adds 10hp. Unfortunately adds nothing to your man part size so I’m staying stock with black trim. ;)

A turbo would. Engines with them don't lose hp when the elevation gets higher, and the air become comes less dense.

Well, it should be said they don't lose power as they gain altitude, up to what is the critical altitude for any given engine.

Two provisos for my above edit:
    1. The higher the altitude, even if below the critical altitude, the longer it takes the turbo to spool up as the number of RPMs needed to generate any given amount of boost increases dramatically as the altitude rises.
    2. All turbocharged engines will lose power at a fairly linear rate for every 1,000' above the critical altitude.

No problems here. It seems like you may have some issues with your own 'shortcomings' though.
