The racing seemed a bit boring too me. 250 west was a snooze, but I was thinking it was going to be since Mcadoo and RJ are a bit banged up. I do agree with Jett being too good for the class. I was rooting for Pierce to keep it together. 450 got good once Sexton went down. I was talking to my dad during the race, " Chase looks too good he gonna eat shit again." I need to take Chase off my 1st place pick here on out. I'd be killing it if I just vote for tomac or webb to win here on out. I think Chase fell down every main so far. The KTM boys figured out their bikes this year.

KR with the late start, and then switching to Factory Connection after a couple rounds into the season, and now back off - none of that can be doing him any favors. It's like he is testing as he goes, each week lol.

I agree, I need to stop taking Chase for my picks. It's nuts that he seems to throw it away so often. I do think the bike could be partially to blame. But obviously he still has to know when to back it down. if he's putting a 5+ second gap on Eli, then he has to be pushing that edge. So he should probably learn how to hit cruise mode and protect a lead.

Eli suffered from the same for a few years and gave some championships away riding like Stewart (James) and taking himself out of 5 second leads because every lap is like qualifying laps. He'll mature most likely provided he doesn't beat himself up too much.

I'd prefer to see some 450 riders other than Tomac podium 1st this year. Boring AF to see the same results every race.

Well Chase threw away at least 2 easy wins, so that is playing a role in that (granted, Webb won 1 of them - after the mistake.)

This has been one of the best SX seasons I can recall. Tomas has ended up winning a lot but the racing has been great. It’s a long season and other riders will win plenty of races.

I agree, it's been good. I just wish Anderson was up front a little more, like he was last year. If he was running that pace again, we really would have some excitement up front.

Agree with both view points. The unforseen (or maybe not) mistakes have made things interesting this year. We'd all be lying to ourselves saying this isn't a Chase runway season of the mistakes weren't there. One thing that is odd to me is how much Chase drops speed after his crashes. Bike could be mangled, track changed, etc, but he routinely goes from 5+ seconds in front to like - 13 seconds behind second place at the finish line.

I think when he crashes he is going like warp speed. He would have to be to be out ahead like he is. Then once he crashes, his heart rate is way up, he's in mini panic mode and he's just trying not to crash again, so he drops way off. That's the only sense I can make of it. But like I said earlier, I think for sure it's his fault mentally. But I think either the nature of the Honda chassis or at least how he is setting it up it making him pay the price as the track deteriorates. To me it looks like he often loses the front or the crash somehow always relates to the front, which is what leads me to think that.

This is exactly what I discussed with a few friends this weekend! It's quite noticeable during the races when he begins to wrestle with the bike more and no longer float obstacles. Makes me even more curious how he'll be on a KTM next year, knowing their hardships with yearly bike changes.

I often think about this too. It's hard for me to sit here and say that an HRC 450 is a bad bike, as it's an elite Factory team. But I do think the Honda chassis is so aggressive, to a fault. And especially with SX settings (stiff forks etc) it just makes that bike run on the razor's edge. Granted it's up to the team and rider to know it's limits too. Assuming the KTM deal is true (which it seems that way) I honestly think he will be fine. KTMs issues are a little bit different. They are searching for cornering traction and a better behavior in the rough (especially whoops.) So I don't think we would see him losing the bike in the same manner as he does now. So to me the part that will be interesting is to also see how Jett does and see if he is yard-saleing in the same manner once he gets on the HRC 450.

I think it's more or less normal for someone to be riding at that pace, and then crashing, to go to a conservative mode pace wise.

I don't have much dirt MX experience, more hare scramble and trail riding, but I have A LOT of hours riding sportbikes on track and even a big slide through a corner sticks in your head for a few laps and rattles you a few 10ths per lap.

A couple weeks ago we were talking about Craig. Denny again confirming that Craig not meshing w the bike. He's been pretty vocal about it. Not sure how he knows but just figured I'd pass this one since I mentioned it the last time he brought it up.

I am a CC#28 fan. It's good to see him progressing. The one thing I am pissed about is JA#21 being put on probation while Bam-Bam is forgiven for continuously knocking riders down and off the track. even the little gremlin Carmichael is like,"Well he shoulda known Barcia was behind him and just let him by." Yes it is tiring watching the same rider win but it's even more watching some guy riding like a complete assh@le and race officials being ok with it.

Agreed. I also was a little confused how RC said you are just supposed to let him by. Like, what? lol. Make him get around you clean, like everyone else. And if he does something stupid then he needs penalized. If Anderson is on probation, Barcia should be in jail lol. And I like both guys but they both get out of hand at times.

It almost seems like they want Barcia to be “the villain” to make the races more exciting.

Marv out indefinitely with a pretty intricate wrist injury. Man I hope this isn't how his career wraps up. :anonymous:

I hope that doesn't go the way of Roczen's career. Roczen hasn't been the same since.
