I am devastated. My 2017 Pro was struck by a wheel/tire that sheared off the axle of a tow truck. I was going 65ish, tow truck probably 50 in the opposite direction. All the airbags deployed. Coolant leaked out. Figured I'd post the pics I have and get people's opinions.

Does not look so bad. If that gets totaled I would buy it back and fix/build it better.

Body damage is not bad, maybe 5k, but with all air bags being deployed. That can add up quickly, that's not a cheap dare.

Sorry for what occurred to the truck.
The best out of the situation is you are ok'ed. It looks bad but might not as bad as it looked; unless the damage involved engine mechanicals which might needs a closer evaluate.

Not totaled. Estimate is $6,423.97 (I'm not a real claims adjuster, I just play one on TW. It's about as useful as all the other wild off-the-cuff guesses.)

Seriously though, the outcome could have been much worse. Totaled or not, trucks can be repaired or replaced.

Yeah, what he said. OP, what state you live in?

Looks fixable to me, doesn't appear to have smashed the engine. All depends on whether the frame needs replacing in my opinion.

Do you have a dashcam, and some good footage of the tow truck, and the wheel coming at you?

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
OP, you didn't swerved hard to avoid tire and rolled your truck. You and several other motorist could be alive today because of your decision making. Looks to me like you stood your ground and your taco saved your ass.

    Teamwork..

Now go get an estimate on repairs, if it's totalled. It's solar octane time my brother....

    Welcome to TW

Glad you're okay, that's the most important thing.

No one here is qualified to answer your question since there will obviously be hidden damage.

When you have a couple quotes, keep us posted.

pics don't show much of the rest of the truck, from what I can see, the hood and fenders look misaligned. Air bags will cost thousands to properly repair, all of the air bags is a big bill before they even lift a finger.
Another huge part of the equation not listed, is mileage.

Awful luck. I sometimes picture this exact thing happening when I’m on the highway like it does way more often in other parts of the world with lower road safety standards.

Straight up Final Destination type stuff.
