Has anyone run these on a 2.5 gen? If so, how's the offset look compared to factory TRD OR wheels? I plan on picking up a set of bronze takes offs this weekend. Thanks!

I just got off the phone with tire shop and as they were trying to put on the wheel, they said the bore of the wheel doesn't fit on the hub or something like that. I couldn't hear him too well because I was at work but has anyone had any issues with the bronze trail wheels being put on a 2022 trd off road? I do have a bilstein lift with 6112 and 5160s but I don't think that's an issue.

Edit: they called back and said the front wheels slide on just fine but the rears need a but of persuasion. The guy is worried that since it's a tight fit, it's harder to take off and in a year or so if rust builds up over time, it might be difficult to take off. So I have no idea. I did tell them that these wheels were designed for the Tacoma, specifically the trail edition, though..

It’s slightly wider than stock approx 1/2-3/4” per side. The passenger side front mudguard rubbed very slightly at fully locked turn for me.

Well, America's Tire did get the wheels on. The bore/holes were too tight on the rear wheels so he had to give it some force. It's on there and is fine now but again, he's worried that rust will build up over time and it will make it a pita to take off. I think I'm gonna look for a local machining shop to machine out the bores ever so slightly since that's what the tire guy recommends.

Looks fucking nice with the Wildpeak MT01 though. The new tires are loud, as expected. It makes a humming sound on the freeway. If anyone has taken the BART trains in sf Bay area, that's what the humming sounds like, the subway going through a tunnel. There weren't many options for a 255/85r16 size since most were MTs. The Cooper maxxx st are ATs but almost $100 more per so I opted for the Wildpeaks. Now to go break 'em in at the local Costco parking lot.

Not that I know of. The guy was just worried if new rust builds up over time, it would make it a bitch and a half to remove the wheels with such a tight fit.

I’m going to drop $1,400 on these tomorrow. They came off a ‘23 with 5 miles. Hoping they’ll look pretty good on my ‘13. I offered the guy $1,100 but no dice! Is $1,400 an ok price?

Sounds like it might need to be hit with a wire wheel and maybe some anti seize if it’s some rust

Yeah..I’ve heard mixed reviews on them. I thought about swapping my Michelin’s to them. Then selling the Goodyear mounted on my old wheels to recoup some money. I’m a little deal drunk over the bronze ones seeing as I like them and may not be thinking clearly..ha

Bit biased since I've been eyeing these wheels since the trail edition was released, lol. So I would buy them. 20230221_203135.jpg 20230221_203238.jpg

I don’t mean to spam this thread. But I’m curious, will my TPMS from my factory wheels from ‘13 fit the wheels from the ‘23? Just trying to see how much more money I’ll be spending.

Well, we’re in business now! It’s going to be a long wait until spring to put them on. I like how the bronze is a bit darker than how they look in photos. The seller included the factory lug nuts too.

@Logger I'm sure those wheels will look awesome and will be well worth the wait. Congrats on your purchase!
