How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

There are cutoff dates for change requests, both factory and port. Your truck may be past the point of being changeable.

Any option that is factory or port installed will appear on your window sticker with associated cost.

 

Thanks, it had always previously showed as MT, I don't know whats going on, computers get weird sometimes. Not sure if this will apply to others waiting, but I've seen what I think is positive movement on my truck. Previously my dates would keep getting pushed out, never green. The ship itself had been sitting out in the bay for a while and then moved into what I assume is the shipping lanes area, its status was always "under way" as opposed to moored/arrived. Crazy/cool how much info is out there....

My truck was supposed to be built December 12th but dealer says it has been delayed multiple times. Most recently they said it looks like it has been built due to the dates that the system is showing them, but they say they still don't have a permanent VIN. Are you able to look and see what's going on with 3TYCZ5AN1PT50B716? Thanks in advance.

 

My dealership is telling me that all of the Tacomas that they have due to come in that have been built since around the end of January have been placed on hold. They have no idea of the reason for the hold or for how long it will last. @DragonPro23 does this line up with what you are seeing?

 

Must've been built and assigned a VIN. That serial doesn't bring anything up.

 

All of my Tacoma inventory is either here on the ground or in pre-production stage, so I can't add anything. We never get any info from Toyota on vehicles that are hold status.

 

Thanks @DragonPro23. Your input here is awesome. My dealer basically told me Toyota doesn’t give them any info about the hold status either. That’s so bizarre to me. So when you have had vehicles on hold you just see that the hold has been placed and you have no idea of the timeframe until all of a sudden it just isn’t on hold anymore?

 

Well, something like that. It may note something like QC Hold 30 day but it is just as likely to say hold status no further info available. Also, even if noted that something is a 30 day hold it doesn’t necessarily mean it will be cleared in 30 days.

If you think that’s bad, don’t even ask about the damaged in transit status. Those vehicles go into a black hole.

Thanks man. Sounds like mine is just saying hold status with no further info available. Man I don’t even want to hear about the chance of being damaged in transit. Hopefully this mess with the large batch of holds gets cleared up soon. It has to be hard on you guys as dealers too. Everyone is wanting answers from you, but you aren’t getting the info from Toyota to be able to answer them.

 

I think the last big QC hold was for the back car seat bracket welds. I wonder what’s up this time?

Just finalizing my deal on a LR OR 6sp manual. Been searching dealer inventory’s for weeks, and going back and forth with a Pro, OR, or a Trail Ed. Salesman texted me this morning asking if I was interested in a LR OR Man. First thing I asked was for the specs. Don’t want a lot of extra fluff, so was happy when it only has the tube steps, door sill, black overlays, and bed mat. He said April timeframe, but not holding my breath.
