Spring approaches, I am planning a trip to the Trans Taiga, the furthest road north in North America.
This is the Boreal forest. Its as remote as you can get on wheels.
This is a bucket list trip for a lot of folks including myself.
This post is to put the bug in like minded folks to come along.
No fishing pressure, the skies will be amazing at night.
This is as far as the city folk go :).
Do your research there is something for everyone.
Buy some gas cans cause you'll need them.

Is there an equivalent of this in the West?
I have no desire to ever go East of Alberta.

I just spoke with a guy tonight that drove the Pan American Hwy.
That to me would be a lot more interesting than trying to communicate with people in Quebec who pretend to not understand English

Ive looked into this road before. Very cool how remote it is, and all to support the big hydro projects

This is one of the most Albertan posts I've seen. Lol.

I'd love to do this road combined with some fishing and hunting. Would be a good adventure at the right time of year.

It's on my bucket list but I have a few adventures over the next few years to tick off first.

I've never been to the exact area but have been to similar areas in Labrador and it was an amazing trip.

Yep. It's been rubbing off on me.

    Go WEST!
Because other than the Sun nothing great happens in the East
In the US I've lived in NJ, in Canada I've been as far East as Toronto, and, if I never get to see either place again, it'll be too soon.

You're missing out on some great country and basing your opinion it on a small part of the country.

That area of Quebec is nothing like New Jersey or Toronto. Ha.

But hey... I think Calgary sucks so to each their own. Ha. But at least I base my opinion on first-hand experience.

See, if you think that Calgary sucks and Toronto doesn't, and East is good and West is bad, you and I can't possibly be friends and agree on things.
East bad. Other than the sun, nothing good comes from the East.
And, f@wk Quebec. Bunch of beggars sponging off our equalization payments.
Hope they separate and become French territory like St. Pierre de Michelon.
Then they'll all be waiting in bread lines longer than in Soviet Russia.
