Look at all the chopped flatbed LC 200s in Australia. Definitely an option for a small gimp cage.

 

Sad thing is, a small cage like that is probably just as big as a short end Tacoma with a toolbox, not very much room for activities

Was. Currently just sits parked in the street most the time. Sometimes you need a truck so it's good to have I suppose.

 

Legitimately thought about doing this at a rental house we had. Wonderful old house....tiniest, child size toilets.

 

That's where I am with mine. Great tool when needed. My current rationale for keeping it.
Plus a little sentimentality, which I know, isn't rational, but still.

Started running the 100s A/C last night. Getting an early start on hot and humid. I need to try to force another can of R134a in to last a few more months. The pump is weak and it needs a new compressor. I dread that job. The UAC kit (made in Korea) in the TACO has exceeded all expectations. It was just a low cost stop gap to get AC back again. It worked beautifully. I may go with that complete replacement kit again.

I would rather replace an aging compressor that I know is on its last legs than to deal with one that comes apart and blows shrapnel all through the system.

My Overland Compulsive Disorder makes me want to go out every weekend.

What I need to do it to pull it in the garage and go "Full Taco" and give the engine compartment a mid-life refresh. I've kind of piece meal'd it with new vacuum and water hoses, coils, radiator, pulleys, and bearings.

I can't stop driving it long enough to take on a major project.

 

If it uses the same HEUI system that means there's 25pct less injectors to fail
