How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

I don't find anything on that VIN. Are you sure the truck has been built?

 

Yes. It was built on 1/31. Last rail location that I got from my dealer was Chicago on 2/6. It’s possible it’s already to Princeton and out of the railroad’s hands now. It was put on hold on 2/17.

I was not able to track it. I think I got this same message when my truck left the rail (but I don't remember for sure).

I'm still figuring out the details and procedures to track vehicles, and I may be missing info that is available just because I don't know how to get it yet.

Until I stumbled on this thread, I pretty much ignored this feature because I didn't need it. So there are probably tricks for me to learn.

I will try to help when I can, though.

 

This past Saturday (2/18/23) I finally locked in my allocation for a LR DCSB OR 6MT Premium (no Tech or Adv Tech) with my local dealer. Build date is 3/10 with an estimated delivery of mid April-May. I'm lucky enough to have learned early in life that patience tends to pay off. I'm just glad, in this case, it seems to be paying off before I would have taken delivery of the silver one.

I do still have a deposit on the silver one. It was scheduled to be built this week, but I haven't received any updates yet. I will post on here before I pull my deposit in case anyone is interested in it.

I believe I have an update on the big hold happening right now.

I am currently waiting for a new '23 OR DCSB. Last I heard, it was supposed to be at the dealership somewhere in the window of March 7-30. Today I got this text from my dealer:

"Toyota updated me a few days ago. They have all the new Tacoma's that are in shipping on hold right now. They are doing quality inspections on all of them. This does set us back a bit, they are not giving me delivery dates. Last time they were March 7th-30th. I'm hoping that it comes by middle or end of March. I'll update the moment I hear anything."

So apparently it is a "quality inspection". Has anyone heard of this happening before?

This was my guess to what they are doing as well. The bigger question is what is the potential issue that has come about that is requiring them to all be inspected and how long will it take for trucks to go through the inspection and clear the hold?

My dealer is also saying Toyota is not telling them why or for how long.

I’m assuming something similar happed when they had the car seat anchor point issue last year, but I was not following these things back then so I don’t know.

There's a solar octane pro coming into McGee Toyota in NH that isn't spoken for as of yet. April arrival. Ask for James D and tell him I sent you. He treated me well, and the dealer is no-nonsense.

 

thought I'd join since my truck is being held up too. it ('23 TRD OR 6MT Ice Cap) was actually already on hold even at the time I put my deposit down (2/15/23), but I was in no real rush and it was optioned exactly how I wanted (all FIO, no PIO except mandatory floor liners/door sill protectors) and being sold at MSRP.

my dealer called it a "freight inspection" and showed me a screenshot of 4 other trucks plus mine, all TRD OR Ice Cap per the picture, with category code "FI." he admitted it is a guess when it will arrive but said it could be sometime in March.

but I did just log in to my Toyota app on my phone and it used to show "Odometer: N/A" and not much else, but now it shows "Last Updated: Yesterday at 9:40AM" with now 6 miles on the odometer and apparently a very small amount of gas in the tank.

but my VIN is 3TYCZ5AN8PT128122 ... if you don't mind running another one DragonPro23 - thanks for that. interesting to see what it spits out.

How do you see the amount of miles gas etc on the Toyota app I downloaded the app put in the vin and a generic image of the truck shows up but no details

 

Click Health and Alerts. Then Vehicle Health Reports. Scroll up and then it shows up.
