Any thoughts/recommendations on something in .308WIN. Priorities are accurate, reliable, easily maintained, not exotic. Have a 600 yard range available, so something good out that far without requiring too much modification/customization would be nice.

    Anything these days just about.

My wife got a Ruger American, albeit in a 7-08, but it shoots fine. Fine is a .25 moa any day of the week. I reckon it cost like $350 back before shit got stupid.

Got my Dad a Bergara in 6.5 PRC, about $600 got him about 1/2 moa, but he’s made over 1200y shots on my range on a soft ball lol

One of my budget hunting rifles is a Rem 700 in .308. It was either an older tactical or police. I don’t even remember. It shoots bug holes, but I put probably more than +$800 in modifications, not including the optic. I did some machining, bedding, rethreaded certain things, put a custom 30 moa base on. Etc etc.

Point is, the potential for accuracy is there. They are all bolt actions, so they are fairly reliable. About any .308 cartridge/bullet combo out of a 20 inch barrel or longer will easily make it to 600y with out having having any weird holds.

Maintenance is fine. There’s no gas system.

(A side note (bunch of babbling)
I actually don’t clean precision rifle barrels very often. I’m of the practice that for maintaining data for MV it is crucial to keep barrel conditions the same. There is a point of equilibrium where the barrel doesn’t increase the MV until copper builds up too much. By then you’ll notice your shots are high, and in some cases you get the sticky bolt if chamber pressures get too high.

Got my m4a1 upper pinned and welded. It was a free service but I did have to pay shipping both ways and tipped the guy who did it. So I guess it can be considered a purchase.

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
Had a bullpup shotgun for about 2 hours yesterday, that was a unique experience, I’ll stick with standard styles of pump and semi.

Today may hold the promise of trading a CZ p-09 package for a Ruger 5.56 AR.

    Update, trade noshowed.

Great services for great prices. I have the sock doing a bunch of little finishing touches for a peanut butter MK18.

Didn't really buy today, but some more goodies from Zenitco made it to US Customs on Monday, so I'll hopefully have them in hand in a week or so.

Had 3x 5.56 muzzle brakes for the 46m show up yesterday at my mail box, 2x 7.62 brakes should be there next week. And I'm guessing 8-10 more months on the can itself being released.

It's basically the same size. The P10C actually fits a lot of 19 holsters. I just think the CZ has a better grip angle.
