They were my primary weapon when I was upfitting emergency vehicles. Perhaps they're not the best for A/C applications but they are amazing in the automotive world.

I'm just an electrical peon, but I love those. Very useful for an amateur like me when I made two bussmanns.

I had like $320 rewards to use. Which basically just covered the 10% tax in my area.

    Jesus…

I usually use it on big purchases that I’m positive I won’t return. Costco is the place my money goes to. I think I’ve got $600+ rewards coming from there.

Yep, big purchase. Last time I grabbed the Dometic with my gift card balance, out the door no cost to me. This time it's either a drone or a winch. Haven't made up my mind. Have been grabbing Arcade1Up cabs lately though.

Costco I think we were just under 900 on the last reward check. Can't remember what the citibank one was.

im guessing you guys are getting points through an Amazon chase card? why not just use that balance to pay off a purchase made on the card? that way you still get the 5% points for using the card and technically didnt have to pay for it

Any credit card purchase I make is paid in full before the end of the statement period. I refuse to carry a balance. For Amazon purchases, I use the amazon card. For Costco purchases, its the costco card. For all other purchases, it's the Apple Titanium card.

For any amazon returns, I usually just have them credit my gift card balance since I've more than likely already zeroed out the chase balance. That's another reason why my gift card balance is so high.

Sorry all, didn't mean to derail the thread

Not a hidden gem (at least not sure if it *will* be), EcoFlow launched their jump into the portable cooler market today. Take a look at the Glacier. I'm not sure how serious it's going to be considered for our market (no mention of a slide or a reversible lid) but it is an interesting product. Features a built in battery backup as well. They have a couple of promos for launch, $200 off.

I still like my Dometic! lol

The ice-making feature works pretty damn well. I have one. Lid is not reversible but you could easily make your own slide

Demo/review unit? They just launched yesterday.

What is your thought on the batt usage? Come in handy just for extended time outside the vehicle? I'm curious if they built into the app something similar to Dometic's 3-stage dynamic battery protection functionality.

Battery life is decent. Unless the ambient temps (outside or in your vehicle) are under 75 degrees, it won't easily last the entire 40+ hours off the battery alone. If it's really hot and you make a ton of ice, only expect around 24 hours. Thankfully the battery recharges in 2, and you can always plug it into AC/DC/solar. And yes, there is a battery protection system so it doesn't completely drain your truck battery. Plus the app has a bunch of controls, like an ECO mode that's a little easier on the battery.
